This painting “The Craftsman” is the first in a series currently being painted by Francisco André Martinez. The collection came from a vision he had when trying to summarise the craft of decorative painting. This vision eventually turned into a written script, sketches, and narrative. Needing to fully act out and set a stage for the imagery he needed, Mr. Martinez cast models, lighting, sound, and a director of photography to play out and capture his vision. The result was a series of short films that held within them the imagery that he first had in his vision.

Now quietly in his private studio he is editing and painting his vision one piece at a time.
